Original Art, Created with Hope and Love
This year's Picnic en Blanc will feature something special: a set of four original postcards created by a trans man whos's being sponsored by ROAR and his friend the artist abdo.is.abdo. They produced four unique digital illustrations that reflect their vision of the world — a world where identity is celebrated, where love is not a crime, and where hope survives even the hardest circumstances.
The four designs each tell their own story. One features Arabic calligraphy spelling "أمل" — hope. Another bears the word "حب" — love. A third pays tribute to Venus Xtravaganza, the legendary ballroom icon whose life and legacy remain a touchstone for queer and trans communities around the world. The fourth is a portrait of community itself: four men of different backgrounds, painted against the colours of the trans pride flag.
Together, the postcards are bold, tender, and unmistakably personal. They are the work of someone who has something to say — and the talent to say it beautifully.
We cannot share details about the artist's identity or background. What we can say is that their is a lot like him around the world wating to be sponsored and to be brought to safety with your help.and that creating this art is one way they are already reaching across the distance to connect with the community that will welcome them.
The postcards will be available for free at the Picnic en Blanc.
